Atlas 9KOH 9,000 lb. Overhead Clear Floor 2-Post Lift | Symmetric & Asymmetric

I installed this Atlas 9KOH in my two - bay shop, and the clear - floor design made a bigger difference than I expected. I can roll my oil drain and transmission jack straight under the truck without fighting a floor plate. It feels solid lifting half - ton pickups and midsize SUVs.

I bought this mainly for the clear - floor layout, and it has worked well in a busy service area. The dual - point safety release is straightforward, and the lift raises evenly. Make sure your ceiling height and 220V power are sorted before delivery because this unit is not small.

For the price, this has been a practical upgrade for my home garage. The overhead routing keeps the center area open, which helps a lot when moving tool carts during brake and suspension jobs. I have used it on sedans and light trucks with no issues so far.

This replaced an older floor-plate lift in our small shop, and the open floor between the posts is a real improvement. We no longer have to drag equipment over the center hump, which saves time on transmission and exhaust jobs. It is a good fit if you want a basic, heavy-duty 9,000 lb lift without extra frills.

We set ours up in the asymmetric configuration because we work on a lot of daily drivers. Door access is much better than on our old lift, so inspections are easier. Setup took some planning, but once dialed in it has been reliable.

We chose the symmetric setup for better drive - through room, and it fits our workflow well. Pulling in full - size vehicles is less awkward, and the arms position well once you get used to them. It has been steady during tire, exhaust, and underbody work.

The lift performs well and feels sturdy once installed. I gave it 3 stars because freight delivery and installation prep required more coordination than expected. After that, it has been useful for routine maintenance and inspection work.
